How time flies… Seems like it was only yesterday when I wrote my first ever TheWiseLiving.com blog post:
“I need to take control of my life and learn how to manage my finances. I need to do it now. Because the best time is always now.”
240 blog posts and 1.6 Million pageviews later, here we are, celebrating our fifth blog anniversary.
And I’m proud to announce that we’re having a blog giveaway! 🙂
Changes
Back then in 2011, my mother was my only reader! Now, we have over 30,000 subscribers who follow our blog’s updated posts. 🙂
Back then in 2011, I used our kitchen table whenever I typed. Now, I have my own office table – and office chair which I got for only P2,000 together with the office chair!
In 2011, I’ve never traveled outside the country without my family. Now that it’s 2016, I’ve visited Japan twice, and I still couldn’t get enough of it.
Back in 2011, my self worth was high, even though my personal net worth wasn’t worth much. Now, both are considerably doing good.
Consistency
I used to have a consistent morning routine back in 2011.
5:00 am: Wake up. Read my Life Goals while drinking tea and eating light breakfast.
5:30 am: Work on my Passion Project (blog, article or a new book I’m starting)
6:30 am: Light arm exercises
Several travels, work responsibilities and late night reading made me lose my consistency. I think I’ve been too caught up in the non-essentials, that’s why OCD wanted to visit me. I’ve had enough!
Now, I vow to get this consistency back. Life’s too short to be worrying about things that have no value.
