Have you ever had the wonderful opportunity to be a member of a non-profit organization? Have you had the experience of being able to contribute to society even if you consider yourself as an ordinary person? Have you had the inexplicable feeling – that immovable force that urges you to help someone?
I have had.
This is the reason why I decided to join the Exempli Gratia Foundation (EGF).
Lovely kids – the hope of our nation! |
EGF is not your usual foundation – it does not solely aim to be a mission.
Instead, it aims to promote the advocacy that through the use of example (“for the sake of example” is what “exempli gratia” means), ordinary people can be able to participate in the act of nation-building.

It aims to be able to empower people – a bit similar to the goal of public health nursing.
I believe it practices the idea that “Give a man a fish, and he will be set for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and he will be set for life.”

Productivity and responsibility – these are what EGF advocates.
And I wish to do the same.
